VeinWave™
This unique new technique is relatively painless, requires no bandages, and lets patients resume everyday activity. This makes it ideal for facial spider veins, such as those commonly found on the sides of the nose, as well as other parts of the body.
Developed by vascular surgeons, VeinWave involves the insertion of a very fine needle into the problem vein. Known as thermo-coagulation, the process uses microwaves to heat the blood vessels and causes the sides to stick together. This prevents the blood flow which causes the dilated veins to be visible in the first place and results in their instant disappearance.
Patient may feel as if nothing has happened in that area apart from some slight tingling. After a few days they may experience some redness along the veins that have been treated which shows the veins are healing.
Depending on the number of veins to be removed, one to several 15-minute to 30-minutes treatments may be needed. |
