Iowa Vein Center On Display at Iowa State Fair

What causes tired and achy legs? You could learn the answers in the Varied Industries Building at the 2007 Iowa State Fair. For the first time in its 18-year history, Iowa Vein Center will be sharing its expertise with visitors to the Iowa State Fair. “There are many misconceptions about the causes and treatments of unsightly and uncomfortable varicose and spider veins,” notes Iowa Vein Center Medical Director J.A. Olivencia. “The Iowa State Fair is a great opportunity for us talk to Iowans who may suffer from these disorders.” Medical personnel from Iowa Vein Center will be on hand to answer questions and provide helpful tips for healthy legs. The Iowa Vein Center’s booth in the Varied Industries Building will also feature video presentations and dramatic before and after photos that demonstrate the effectiveness of the advanced non-invasive treatment options performed at Iowa Vein Center. Guests who visit with Iowa Vein Center personnel during the Fair will also receive a coupon for a free varicose screening. The screenings, which are performed at Iowa Vein Center’s offices in West Des Moines, are the first step in identifying the severity of varicose veins and determining the appropriate course of treatment. The Iowa Vein Center booth will be located in the southeast corner of the Varied Industries Building, which is open daily throughout the 2007 Iowa State Fair, August 9 – 19.
