Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI)

VC

Patients with leg ulcers may also suffer from chronic venous insufficiency. As a result, once the ulcers are healed, Iowa Vein Center patients are followed in our Chronic Venous Insufficiency Clinic as long as necessary to avoid the reappearance and recurrence of the leg ulcers.

Patients are followed closely with clinical examinations, review of medications and necessary vascular testing in order to get this chronic condition under control. This level of care is necessary to prevent deterioration of chronic venous insufficiency.
